Volkswagen confirms arrival of Atlas Cross Coupe in 2019
August 31 2018,
Volkswagen will have a third SUV in its lineup next year with the sporty and stylish Volkswagen Atlas Cross Coupe set to take its place between the Tiguan and the current Atlas with three rows of seats. In doing so, it will offer more space than the first while being sportier than the Atlas.
With the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Coupe, Volkswagen is not only improving its SUV offering, the German manufacturer also offers models that can meet even more needs. Indeed, the Atlas Cross Coupe will have very little competition, and its goal will be to seduce those who want a versatile and welcoming SUV with a small dose of extra personality.
We do not know many details about the Atlas Cross Coupe, except for the fact that it will be built on the MQB platform found under the current Atlas, among other models. It will use the Atlas’ 3.6-liter V6 engine also with 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque which will be paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the Atlas Cross Coupe may also feature a hybrid engine option. Until we know more about the new Atlas Cross Coupe, contact us today at Turner Volkswagen to learn more about the Volkswagen Tiguan or the Atlas lineups!
