The Taos features a newly-designed 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 158 horsepower and a responsive 184 lb-ft of torque. The Miller Cycle design features new geometry and high injection pressure that makes it more capable and efficient than existing light turbo engines. This equates to a better power / fuel consumption ratio compared to older light turbocharged units. 

With FWD and AWD available, you can access the drivetrain you need. FWD models also feature an 8-speed transmission, and AWD models receive a quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This offers quick acceleration and a dynamic drive.

Each Taos model comes standard with the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit instrument panel. It is a fully customizable high-resolution display that offers much more than traditional readouts. To compare, the Tiguan is 236 mm longer than Taos. However, that doesn't stop Taos from having 2,817 litres of passenger volume and up to 1,877 mm of cargo volume behind the front seats. Behind the rear seats, you'll find an impressive 796 litres. This provides your family the flexibility it needs for its daily lifestyle.
