Here’s a Look at the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas
September 16 2022,
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas is the largest SUV in the brand’s lineup, so it is a great choice if you need lots of interior space in order to transport passengers in comfort or bulky items with ease.
Up to 2,741 litres of cargo space
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas benefits from comfortable rear seats that are configurable in many different ways. This is why the standard 583 litres found behind the third row can be easily expanded to 1,572 litres behind the second row or even 2,741 litres behind the first row. This makes it possible to carry very large items safely and conveniently, which can save you from having to rent a trailer or pay for delivery in many instances. When all of the seats are in use, this generous space benefits the comfort of every passenger by giving them space to stretch out on long drives, which is not possible in the third row of many competitors.
Two engine choices
Most 3-row SUVs only offer one engine, but the 2023 Volkswagen Atlas gives you the choice between two powertrains in order to better suit your needs. The standard engine is the 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder which delivers 235 horsepower and 259 ft-lb of torque to all four wheels through the standard 4Motion all-wheel drive system. This engine is capable of an average fuel consumption of only 9.5 L/100 km on the highway. If you need more power, the 3.6L V6 engine is also available with its output of 276 horsepower and 266 ft-lb of torque that allows it to tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Four trim levels to choose from
The 2023 Volkswagen Atlas gives you even more choice by offering four different trim levels to choose from. The entry-level Trendline is already well equipped with all of the most popular features such as the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, the 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster and the heated front seats. Stepping up to other trim levels adds items such as the Travel Assist, the 8.0-inch infotainment system with Car-Net and the ventilated front seats, among many others.
