Volkswagen has announced substantial enhancements for its 2024 ID.4 electric compact SUV, primarily focusing on the 82 kWh battery versions. These changes encompass a new performance drive unit, a sophisticated infotainment system, and the addition of a high-quality audio system.
A principal update is the incorporation of a performance drive unit tailored for the 82 kWh versions. This feature is set to boost both the horsepower and overall range of the ID.4. With this enhancement, the rear-wheel-drive model is anticipated to yield an impressive 282 horsepower, while its all-wheel-drive counterpart might produce around 330 horsepower. Apart from augmenting the vehicle's acceleration capabilities, these modifications are also forecasted to expand its EPA-estimated range. The realm of technological advancements isn't confined to performance. The 2024 ID.4 is designed to elevate the user experience. Those opting for the 82-kWh model will benefit from a modern 12.9-inch infotainment display, featuring backlit sliders.
